- Name the key, attach the label, and record its services.
Placement guidance
Keep normal Security Key use unobstructed.
Follow the Security Key manufacturer’s instructions and NOPKEY placement guidance. Do not cover a part needed to operate or identify the key.
Use a compatible Security Key surface with enough clear area.
Use a suitable Case or holder when the key does not have enough clear space.
Do not cover the USB connector, touch contact, button, NFC marking or required NFC area.
Do not cover required serial markings, vents, openings, seams, or moving parts.
Physical identity, not authentication
The ID Label opens a record. It does not unlock an account.
The label links to a record you maintain—not to your account credentials. Scanning it does not grant access to your accounts or prove that the key can sign in to a service.
