Terms of Service
The conditions for using NOPKEY ID and its ID Label, key-management, Team, and lost-key recovery features.
By accessing or using NOPKEY ID, you agree to these Terms. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to act for that organization.
What NOPKEY provides
NOPKEY ID provides records and guidance for physical security keys, including ID Label activation, key identity details, user-entered service registrations, backup comparisons, Team assignments, reminders, and lost-key recovery communication. NOPKEY is not a password manager, authentication provider, emergency service, or replacement for the security controls of the services where your key is registered.
Your account and records
- Provide accurate account and management information and keep your sign-in method secure.
- Only record or manage keys, people, workspaces, and contact information you are authorized to manage.
- Review your records after keys are replaced, reassigned, lost, recovered, or removed from third-party services.
- Do not enter passwords, PINs, passkeys, private keys, recovery codes, or other authentication secrets.
User-entered registrations and guidance
Selecting a service means that you or an authorized Team user recorded that registration. NOPKEY does not connect to or independently verify third-party accounts. Comparisons, reminders, backup-gap indicators, and lost-key impact are guidance calculated from your records and may be incomplete or outdated. You remain responsible for checking the relevant third-party service.
ID Labels, QR codes, and lost-key recovery
An ID Label and QR code identify a NOPKEY record; they do not authenticate the physical key or prove ownership. A finder may use the public Lost Key Recovery page to send a private Finder Message. Do not use NOPKEY as the only way to identify, secure, revoke, recover, or inventory a key.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, probe or bypass security controls, enumerate IDs, automate abusive requests, impersonate another person, submit unlawful or harmful content, interfere with other users, or use Finder messaging for harassment or spam.
Availability and changes
NOPKEY ID may change as the service develops. Features may change, be limited, or become temporarily unavailable. Back up or export information you need for business continuity. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, maintenance, or legal compliance.
Ownership
NOPKEY ID, its branding, software, and documentation are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You retain rights in information you submit and grant NOPKEY the limited permission needed to host, process, display, and transmit it to provide the service.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that records are complete, third-party registrations remain valid, or the service will be uninterrupted. NOPKEY is not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate user-entered records, failure to revoke a key with a third-party service, or reliance on NOPKEY as a sole security control. Any liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law; rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
Ending use and changes to these Terms
You may stop using the service and request account deletion through the Contact page. We may update these Terms as the service evolves and will revise the effective date when changes are published. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.
